The 144 squares between the palace and the Neckar can be crossed on foot in half an hour, and ten minutes are enough from the main station to the Wasserturm. We build for the businesses inside that grid and in the districts behind it, not for the corporations that have their headquarters here.
An address like C 4, 9 fits into no street field. It has to be recorded identically in the imprint, in the business profile and in the structured data, otherwise a phone sends people to the square next door.
What decides here is not the contact form but the evidence: data sheets to download, certificates, one named contact per area. Usually in two languages, because the purchasing side rarely sits in Mannheim.
The enquiry is typed on a phone between two appointments. Service area and trade therefore belong at the top: between a site in the north of the city and one in the Pfalz lie two federal states and a good hour of driving.

We look at your plan in a short video call and then put the figure in writing. No exchange rate in the quote, no list of hours at the end of the month, no line item that only turns up on the final invoice.
Five pages is the normal size here
Mannheim lives off large employers, and project sizes in their orbit are different ones. With us a onepager or a website with five subpages is the normal case, which is why you get an appointment for it instead of a place on a waiting list.

Quote and invoice are in euros, with no exchange rate anywhere in them. Because the service goes from Switzerland to Germany, we put the VAT treatment in writing before the contract instead of explaining it with the first invoice.
Hosting, mail and backups run on servers in the EU, so no transfer to a third country is needed for them. In Germany a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR belongs with hosting. What that takes we sort out at the start, not once somebody asks.
In Germany anything stored on or read from a device that is not strictly necessary for the service the visitor asked for requires consent under section 25 TDDDG. The imprint under section 5 DDG has to be easy to reach from every page. We set both up and keep the number of embedded services small, so there is less for anyone to decide about. It does not replace legal advice.
A Mannheim address is a square, and no street field fits it. We enter it identically everywhere, so no phone sends people to the square next door.

How much does a Mannheim business pay for its website?

Our address is one of the Quadrate. Does that cause trouble on a website?
It means work in three places. Map and navigation services usually cope with an entry like Q 7, 21. Address forms in shops and booking systems often are not built for it, because they expect one field for the street and one for the house number. And the business profile, the imprint and the structured data all have to carry the same spelling, otherwise one entry falls apart into two addresses. We set that up properly, once.
Do you travel to Mannheim for meetings?
The first call runs on video, and it stays short. Once a project becomes concrete we come to Mannheim, the ICE takes a good two hours from Basel without a change. We do not board a train for every question in between, because those trips end up in the price. Everything ongoing runs through the dashboard, the ticket system, WhatsApp and video.
We are in Ludwigshafen, not in Mannheim. Does that work too?
Yes. The conurbation sits where three federal states meet, and for the catchment area of a website that counts for more than the city boundary. Ludwigshafen, Frankenthal, Speyer and Worms in Rheinland-Pfalz, Viernheim, Lampertheim and Bensheim in Hessen, Weinheim, Schwetzingen, Hockenheim, Wiesloch and Sinsheim in Baden-Württemberg are all within the catchment area, and the way we work is the same everywhere.
Why not take an agency from the region?
If you need someone who drives to the port for a photo shoot at short notice, joins you at a trade fair or puts a dozen references from the Rhein-Neckar region on your table, then take an agency from here. We do not offer that. What we offer is a fixed price and a path from quote to launch with a single point of contact.
How long does a project like this take?
Two to four weeks, whatever the scope. More pages mean more hours on our side, not more waiting on yours. Counted from the day the texts and images are with us. If a date is already fixed, an opening, a trade fair or a move into new premises, say so in the first call and we plan backwards from it.
